Just Because

Here are a few random things we have been doing in the last week:

Learning to shave

Shaving daddy

Playing around

Cleaning Cohen's room-getting ready to paint!

Noah's getting ready too

New and improved - GREEN!

And.... drumroll please (literally)
Grandma Carols Bday gift for Cohen!

We will probably soon be posting pictures of the drum set thrown out the window but for now, he has a drum set to bang on!

California Trip-Adair & Rob's Wedding

Phoenix Children's' Museum

Havent posted in quite a while so I will update you with all that we have done. Noah and Cohen took a trip to the Phx Childrens Museum with some cousins. They had a blast. Cohen loved all the gadgets and being toted around by Clementine! How cute:)

Color of the day = GREEN

We recently asked a good friend how he taught his kid colors. Cohen has been hit and miss with our color practices. We would lay all the colors out and practice each one: "Cohen, which color is red..." and sometimes he would be right, sometimes not. Our friend said his little one has the "color of the day" at his daycare where one whole day is devoted to just ONE color. Talk about much less confusion. Here we were shoving all these colors in front of Cohen expecting him to sort them all out. So today was our first Color of the Day. Cohen chose green out of all the colors and it looked like a leprechaun threw up but it was fun:)
We gathered as many of his green toys as we could
And I decorated the wall
I had to get a picture so I very nicely displayed his toys.

Well I think it worked because I showed him a green crayon tonight and he said "green". We will see how tomorrow goes!

Attack of the bubbles

It is really sad that we torture our kids just to get a good picture. At first it was just a harmless bubble bath. Then it turned ugly.
We tried to make him lay back and cover himself in bubbles...
Got him to wear some cool hair...he was kinda into it
I really think he is making this face because he couldn't breathe
Oh good, got a little snicker
Ok now we're done

Mom and dad got a good laugh. He must have not been too upset because he wanted to stay in the bath.

In a month...

I can't believe it's been a month since my last post. Time flies. So here are some pictures we took in the last month:
My attempt at fondant. Not too bad?
Daddy and Cohen molding
High chair is gone already!?
An outing with mommy
Trying on the tux for cousin Adairs wedding. What a stud!
Being smothered in his sleep by a life-sized Mickey Mouse
Apparently Ikea makes pretty sturdy cabinets
Painted a few walls "slate" grey
This is what we have been doing all summer! Too hot to go outside so we just "chill"
And don't forget the time we tried on Gramma Carols glasses...smarty pants!

A little bit of this, a little bit of that...

Even though the heat here in AZ can make you feel sluggish, we have somehow found stuff to do (we have a 2yr old, imagine that). We always stay busy and even venture outside! So here are the fun (well fun to a 2 yr old) stuff we have done this past week:

Big boys make big messes. He got wet and played in the sand. It was in his diaper and in all the "cracks".
Close up of the messy hands
What a cute nose! A little sandy, but cute!
Haircut time! My lil rock star.
We do this a lot...not always with two tigers in our hands though, and not always pantless.
Our favorite. Enjoying the 113 degree weather the best way we know how. Tons of sunscreen, shade, hat, and water!
Whoops!
We also get a little wet!
Well that is only some of what we do during the week. We also enjoy shopping a couple times a week (mostly because it's nice and cool-we love Target!) and swim lessons. Oh, and we go to GG and Papas house to swim a couple times a week. We need to take pics of all that stuff! We would fill up this blogg in no time! Hope you are enjoying the summer as much as we are!
